The winners of a ‘Dragons Den’ style competition held at Bournemouth School for Girls dined out at Castlepoint’s Nandos Restaurant, thanks to their “Shnoodles” product.
Six teams competed in the inter house challenge to devise, cost, price and produce a new item of food that could be sold in the school canteen. The winning house was Shelley, who produced Chinese-style noodles named ‘Shnoodles’, to be sold in takeaway cartons.
The three judges were head teacher Alistair Brien, Alison McCauley, a dietician from Dorset Health Care and Castlepoint’s general manager Peter Matthews, who joined the Shelley team at the restaurant with Nando’s Deputy Manager Karl Pinfold.
“The competition was a great idea and I am looking forward to buying a carton of Shnoodles next time I visit BSG,” said Peter Matthews. “I hope that the product is a great success.”
