Ferndown care home welcomes two furry visitors
Alpacas Liquorice and Caramac paid a visit to Kings Park Care Home to surprise the residents.

Two animals from Alpaca Adventure paid a visit to Kings Park Care Home in Ferndown earlier this month to surprise and delight the home’s residents.
Liquorice and Caramac roamed around their home and garden and visited some of the residents in their rooms.
Resident Margaret was especially thrilled when Liquorice and Caramac walked into her room. It was a lovely surprise, and her face lit up. As they left she said: “Today was very enjoyable and they are absolutely fantastic.”
General Manager Jenna May said: “Our residents have really enjoyed their unusual visitors today. We knew that having them here would be a bit of fun for all our residents, especially as some find it difficult to go on many outings in our minibus.
“We are always looking for new activities for the residents and today we have seen the seen the enjoyment and the therapeutic influence animals can have on people.”
