Mayor John Lewis at the Christmas Lights Switch 2013
The Mayor of Ferndown, Cllr John Lewis resigned as a town councillor for Central Ward on 15 January 2014, and gave his reason as a personal one.
This means the council no longer has a mayor.
Ferndown Town Council will be holding a special meeting on 27 January when council members will nominate and elect a new mayor (chairman of the council).
