Around a hundred people attended the Armistice Day service, with two minute silence, and wreath laying at the Royal British Legion garden in Ferndown yesterday (11 November). It was followed with the blessing of a new bench in the Millennium Park. The specially designed bench was provided by Ferndown Town Council to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of World War Two. Here are some photographs of both ceremonies and the stunning bench, which overlooks the memorial stone in the park.
The children pictured in front of the Royal British Legion memorial with the branch chairman Grant Parrott are from Ferndown First School.
