Wimborne Folk Festival was much quieter on the Sunday than in recent years and those who performed on the Saturday agreed that day was quieter too, until later in the afternoon.
Was it because it clashed with the Isle of Wight Festival?
Maybe. But despite fewer crowds, it was a hugely successful family occasion with free entertainment throughout the town and at the Allendale Centre.
Here are some photos to prove it.
The Folk Festival has been in decline for the last few years. It does not surprise me that this years attendance was down. The festival is outdated and done to death. Maybe if it was held on alternative years with another event filling the years it was not held. Then it would not just be the same old thing every year.
