Lewis-Manning Hospice has announced details of its next two Wimborne EWE Group meetings, which will take place at The Olive Branch in Wimborne in January and February.
The EWE Group, which stands for Events With Effects, launched last autumn as a monthly drop-in group designed for local people to get together, meet new friends and discuss ideas and events to give something back to the local community through the charity.
The group is open to anyone and the next two meetings will be on Monday 18 January at 6pm and Monday 8 February at 6pm at the Olive Branch, Wimborne.
Louise Jones, Community Fundraiser at Lewis-Manning, explains, “The EWE Group is a very informal get-together and is a lovely way to get out of the house, meet new people, have a purpose and help a local worthwhile cause. Everybody is welcome and we’d love to see some more new faces. We plan to have a very exciting, fun and fulfilling year.”
Lewis-Manning is based in Poole and gives free care and support to local people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. The hospice covers East Dorset covering people living in Wimborne and as far north as Blandford. The charity also has seven shops including Wimborne, Blandford and Ferndown as well as Poole, Ashley Cross, Westbourne and Broadstone.
Anyone interested in joining the EWE Group can contact Louise Jones on 01202 708470 or email louisej@lewis-manning.co.uk or they can simply come along to the meeting.
