Gruffalo drops in to Moors Valley to start tourist season in style
Tourist attractions from across Dorset and Hampshire met the Gruffalo at Moors Valley Country Park at the launch of a new interactive Gruffalo Spotter trail app which bring Julia Donaldson’s fabulous storybook characters to life.
A surprise visit from the Gruffalo inspired tourist attraction operators from across Dorset and Hampshire when they gathered at Moors Valley Country Park and Forest, near Ringwood recently.
The operators spent the day networking, exchanging leaflets and meeting up with over 100 local accommodation providers at the start of the 2017 tourist season.
The event, organised by White Sheep Projects, brought together nearly 30 attractions from larger businesses like Monkey World and Beaulieu to smaller operations such as Barford Ice Cream and the Priest House Museum and concluded with talks from Visit England and the the Regional Tourism Awards.
