Lewis-Manning Hospice in Poole is asking people to get involved in its Christmas Jumper Day on December 12 and bring a bit of joy to the office or home by wearing their best (or worst!) knitwear to help raise some money for the charity.
The event is aimed at getting both local people and businesses into the Christmas spirit by donning festive attire for the day, with each participant making a donation to the charity who give free care and support to over 700 local people a year living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
Paul Tucker, from Lewis-Manning, said, “Last year it was all about the Onesies but this year it seems Christmas Jumpers are all the rage with many outlets now stocking an array of fashionable designs, although there still seems to be plenty of love for a really naff jumper. We thought this would be a good fun way to raise some money for the hospice and we are particularly keen for businesses to get involved, so they can do it in larger groups and help encourage each other to wear their jumpers for the day and have a bit of fun for a good cause.”
To get involved simply wear your Christmas Jumper on December 12t and Text LMHJ12 (followed by the amount e.g £5) to 70070 to donate or call Maria at Lewis-Manning on 01202 708470 or email maria@lewis-manning.co.uk
