Bournemouth Hospital Charity is hosting a six-a-side World Cup football tournament next week – and you can still get involved.
The tournament will take place on 20 July from 9.30am-4.30pm at the Littledown Centre in Bournemouth. It will mimic the real World Cup with 32 teams representing the countries that took part in Brazil – and there are a couple of places left.
Teams of eight (to include two rolling subs) are asked for £20 sponsorship per person and any workplace teams are encouraged to ask their employer to match their sponsorship.
Bournemouth Hospital Charity’s Events Officer, Barry Wilson, said: “There are just a few team places left so if you want your team to be in with a chance of lifting our replica World Cup trophy, then you need to be quick.”
The charity is also looking for referees to help at the event. If you would like to enter a team or referee at the event, log on to www.bournemouthhospitalcharity.org.uk, call 01202 704060, email charity@rbch.nhs.uk or visit the Charity Office in the main atrium at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
