Annette Brooke, MP for Mid Dorset and North Poole officially opened Tops Corfe Mullen on 28 March bringing the total number of Tops Day Nurseries to 15 in the Dorset, Hampshire and Somerset areas.
Tops Corfe Mullen has seen a complete renovation of the Mount Inn on Blandford Road. The nursery celebrated by holding an opening event which included an Easter egg hunt and face painting, and the children were also allowed to try out all the new toys and equipment.
Annette Brooke commented: “It has been a pleasure to be here today and see the new nursery so busy already. The facilities look fantastic and it’s great to see more childcare provision in the area.”
Joey Thurlow, aged five said: “The new nursery is great! I can’t wait to come here soon for after school club. It’s even got its own pool table and popcorn machine – cool!”
The nursery will look after babies and children from three months to school age. The premises will also hold a breakfast, after-school and holiday club called ‘Mini Beasts’ for 5 to11-year-olds, keeping the children well entertained and active.
The site, with its large premises and garden, will be big enough to look after up to 86 children. Tops Day Nurseries are renowned for their flexible hours, and Tops Corfe Mullen will follow this trend by opening long hours from 6am to 8pm (subject to demand) and will be open on bank holidays. There is also the ability to book in 15 minute slots so that parents can book the exact childcare hours they need, saving them money by not paying for unnecessary hours.
