Hospices Rock, a fundraising night held at Mr Kyps featuring four local bands, raised over £1,680 for organisers Lewis-Manning Hospice and Forest Holme Hospice, who both support people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
The event held in March featured live sets from Walk The Night, Empire Affair, Saints of Sin and Sansara and was compered by Dave “Chinners” Chinery from local music website Rock Regeneration, who also supported the event. The evening also featured a raffle and silent auction of music items including a Limp Bizkit gold disc and rare Marilyn Manson vinyl.
Vikkie Richmond, who works at Lewis-Manning and organised the event, said, “We are all delighted with the amount raised and would like to thank everyone who supported the event, particularly all of the bands who performed for free and provided a fantastic night’s entertainment.”
