Police in Weymouth are appealing for help from the public after a large amount of diesel was recovered in the town.
Police Constable Andy Dickinson, of Weymouth Police, said: “Approximately 300 litres of red diesel believed to have been stolen from premises in Weymouth or in the surrounding area, has been recovered by police.
“I am in a position to release an image of the fuel which was found stored in 12 large plastic drums.

“I am appealing to anyone who has recently discovered a theft of red diesel, or recognises the items pictured, to contact the police as soon as possible.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen suspicious activity around farm premises, building sites or similar areas in the last few days.”
Three local men, two in their twenties and one in his fifties, were arrested on 28 December 2013 on suspicion of theft, and released on police bail until the end of January 2014.
