The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF) is thrilled to have been chosen as the charity of support for the British Beach Polo Championships 2016.
It promises to be a great event combining high-adrenaline sport, a fabulous social occasion and beach parties. It will be held at Sandbanks beach on 8 and 9 July.
International arena polo teams will compete for the championship title over the two days. There will be more polo than ever to entertain the crowds this year with The Pony Club putting on exhibition matches; look out for smaller ponies than you’re used to seeing in action in the arena. Also taking to the sand over the weekend will be three University polo teams, whilst more sporting action will come from the ever popular international women’s beach volleyball with England taking on Poland over the two days.
The charity race is a highlight of the weekend and this year sees a polo pony take on a high performance car. It is sure to be a great spectacle and the JTYAF invites you to take part in the fun by voting for either four wheels or four legs to come out on top. The prize for both days is a half day driving experience at Silverstone for the winner and a guest, which includes catering.
Apparently you’ve got to be in it to win it so cast your vote at www.jtyaf.org/blog
