After winning MasterChef, Shelina worked in various London-based restaurants. She has also written two cookery books and, in 2016, opened her first restaurant in Southampton.
Taste of the South is will showcase the region’s food and drink, and art and culture. The two-day festival will be held at Chapel Gate, by Bournemouth Airport.
Shelina said, “As a local Hampshire girl, I am so excited to get involved in the Taste of the South festival showcasing some of my delicious Mauritian street food as seen in my very own restaurant, Lakaz Maman, in Southampton. I hope to meet lots of new people and can’t wait to take a browse around the exhibitor stands, it’s going to be a great event.”
