MJP Law have acquired the well-established practice Buchanan and Llewellyn and will open two new offices in Ferndown and Westbourne.
The acquisition now means that MJP Law has offices in Wimborne, Verwood, Ferndown, Kinson and Westbourne. The head office is still based in Wimborne.
Offering clients conveyancing, private client, family, litigation and commercial law services, the company has secured its presence in the East Dorset area.
The MJP Law team is headed by founder and managing director, Martin Pate and has 42 staff. The company has had year-on-year success and it has gone from strength-to-strength since Martin founded the firm in 2006, from his living room.
Martin Pate says, “ I am extremely proud to announce this recent acquisition, Buchanan and Llewellyn are a long-standing, well-established and well-respected firm. John Rance and Andrew Holmes, previously partners at Buchanan and Llewellyn have both agreed to stay with the MJP Law team, and will provide consultancy services. The acquisition will enable us to provide existing and future clients with more services and expertise.
“We are also celebrating our 10th anniversary this year and we have come a long way in that time. It is hard to believe that 10 years ago I working out of my living room, who would have thought my then trainee Lisa Lane, would be a director of the firm and that we would have a team of 42 staff and five offices.”
