A charity tea party and three open gardens in Manor Road, Verwood on 28 June raised the incredible amount of £1,300.
The funds will be split between New Forest and District Sailability based at Spinnaker Sailing Club, Ringwood and Tom Harper Sailing, which supports a young Wimborne-based quadriplegic sailor who sails competitively and also designs seats and other equipment for disabled sailors.
One of the organisers Penny Dale said, “The event was a huge success and we would like to thank local businesses and individuals who supported the open gardens day so generously. There are a number of Verwood residents with all sorts of disabilities who benefit from Sailability NF.”
