A transport lifeline has been thrown to residents between Lytchett Matravers and Poole as morebus announce a brand new route 10 will be added to their extensive bus network from Monday 7 April.
Ed Wills, Operations Director at morebus, says that they believe that the new route 10 can be run without the support of local government subsidies and succeed where a previous operator removed a service: “We have listened to requests to provide a sustainable link from Lytchett Matravers, via Upton Crossroads to Poole bus station and feel that the investment in resources will be well placed.”
The new hourly service will be promoted with the theme “Ten good reasons.” Communications and Marketing Manager Nikki Honer says that they include the quick journey time, and tickets can be purchased on line using the smartphone app and the key smartcard which can offer customers who travel frequently the chance to travel throughout the Poole and Bournemouth area for as less than £3 a day. Concession travellers will travel free after 9.30am.
