Dorset Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) and Dorset County Council have highlighted over £233,000pa worth of savings to Dorset based businesses. Over the past two years DCCI have been offering companies free compressed air surveys via a grant received from Dorset County Council. The DCCI ‘Control your Compressors’ project was initially to be a four year project but it has been such a success all the surveys have already been taken up two years before the anticipated completion date. Seventy-five companies of all shapes, sectors and sizes across Dorset took up a free compressed air survey where a staggering:
- 931 leaks were found across the 109 compressors surveyed
- £233,000pa worth of savings were found over the other 75 companies surveyed
- The largest saving for one company was £23,500 per annum
CO2 emissions reported a total of 1,103,464 kg = 1103 Tonnes CO2 which is equivalent to over an unbelievable 1103 hot air balloons.
