A penguin as tall as a single decker bus is set to pop up at Bournemouth locations in July, to celebrate the launch of the Oceanarium’s brand new penguin enclosure, opening in the school summer holidays.
Those who spot Humbug the giant penguin and photograph themselves with him are asked to share their image on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #BournemouthPenguin for the chance to win a family of four 2015 Silver Membership, an invite to the VIP family launch and a penguin themed goodie bag.
Sara Kirchel, Oceanarium marketing and PR manager, said: “The colony of penguins is going to make a great addition to the Oceanarium and excitement has been building since we made the announcement. We want to add to this buzz and get people involved in our giant penguin hunt around Bournemouth. We hope everyone has their cameras at the ready and we look forward to seeing the photographs.”
Humbug will appear at a secret location in Bournemouth on the following dates: Friday 10 July to Sunday 12 July and Friday 17 July to Sunday 19 July.
