The two-day fun fest at Baiter Park offers a full weekend of entertainment, with some of the UK’s top tribute acts, as well as local bands.
Also on the menu is a mouthwatering array of artisan international street foods.
Add in a range of free children’s entertainment, eco-art and craft workshops, circus skills and a family fire show, not to mention a bar well stocked with local craft beers and ciders, and you have a recipe for the ultimate family weekend.
“We wanted to do something the whole family can enjoy together, that doesn’t finish too late, but gives everyone a great day and a fun-packed night out,” says Poole Harbour Festival organiser Ben Dyas, who is sure the new Poole Harbour Festival will hit all the right notes.
By day, children’s characters such as Peppa Pig, the Minions, and Elsa from Frozen will roam the festival site, treating young revellers to a fine time. The live music programme gets underway at lunchtime each day and will run on two stages until 10pm on Saturday and 9pm on Sunday.
Topping the bill are critically acclaimed tribute bands Oasish, Stereotonics, the Really Hot Chili Peppers and The Jilted Generation, whose Prodigy-praising act comes fresh from the Isle of Wight Festival.
Other confirmed main stage acts include Black Water County, Saints of Sin, Remedy Sounds, SN Dubstation and Lady Winwood’s Maggot. The second stage will feature the Mother Ukers, Matt Black, Lewis Jordan Brown and Rock ’n’ Blues Co.
The event takes place on 30 and 31 July. Advance tickets are on sale now, priced £5 (£3 kids, £13 family). Under 5s free.
