Jake Turner, of Hillside Community First School in Verwood, was a delighted winner of the competition to design a poster encouraging people to stop dropping litter and also pick up dog mess.
The competition was run by East Dorset District Council’s chairman, Cllr Malcolm Birr. He turned up at the school’s assembly to surprise Jake with the news and present him with his prize of WH Smith gift vouchers.
Malcolm said that the poster stood out in its simplicity and design.
