A campaign has been started in Dorset to revolutionise end-of-life veterinary care for pets.
Anna and Karen have now formed Dignified Departures which is a movement dedicated to raising awareness of the option for in-home veterinary hospice care and peaceful euthanasia for beloved pets.
“Many other veterinary practices do not presently offer in-home hospice care and/or a two step stress-free euthanasia,” says Anna, “but with your support, we can strive to make available compassionate care within the home a regular and accepted option, which will help to transform the lives of pet owners and their senior or terminally ill pets.”

Dignified Departures is believed to be the first movement of its kind. Another first in the UK will be the production of a comprehensive veterinary directory of similar minded vets which Anna and Karen are presently in the process of compiling.
