Rick Stein’s Sandbanks raises funds for Forest Holme Hospice
A charity event held before lockdown has resulted in a £3,100 donation to Forest Holme Hospice.
Rick Stein’s restaurant in Sandbanks organised a special three-course charity lunch during January with a percentage of each meal going to the Poole-based charity.
Due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, Forest Holme is expected to have an estimated deficit of over £350,000 this financial year.
Paul Tucker, fundraising and communications manager at Forest Holme said, “We were so pleased to have been chosen by the restaurant and absolutely thrilled with the amount raised. Rick Stein’s have previously supported us with a coffee morning and we want to thank all their amazing staff and customers for their support and generosity. This money will make a big difference to local people who need our care and support at the most difficult time of their lives.”
