Last year when Santa decided to drop into West Moors, he got stuck on the top floor in the Elephant and Castle after fire broke out on the roof. In great panic, he lifted up the window and yelled for help.
Imagine everyone’s relief, particularly the children, when the fire engine turned up to rescue Santa. He was brought out to the crowds with the help of some burley firefighters and generously gave away gifts. You could feel the joy as the children clamoured round him to say hello.
mags4dorset has heard that this might happen again tonight! The event springs to life at about 5.45pm with stalls, the lights switch-on by the chairman of the West Moors Parish Council, a procession, carols on the Petwyn at 6pm and the arrival of Father Christmas at 7pm.
