Ringwood Seals took part in the Dorset Novice League by special invitation and won the first two rounds, this took them into the final knowing that they had to beat Poole (who had won the last four years) to win the trophy.
The swimmers were determined and swam extremely well achieving 14 first individual places, four first relay places and 28 personal best times
Ann Nugent, swim director of Ringwood Seals said, “While the points were being announced the team were very quiet with their fingerss crossed. When they realised they had won they errupted throwing T-shirts in the air and big whoops.”
Anne added that she was extremely pleased with the swimming results and the Seal’s attitude to swimming as a team so they could win.
