Share your views on housing in BCP Council area
The consultation on the draft BCP Homes Housing Strategy is now open and you are invited to have your say.
If you live in Bournemouth, Christchurch or Poole you are invited to have your say on future housing developments in the areas.
BCP Council must produce a strategy that looks at the delivery of housing services for next five years. A draft BCP Homes Housing Strategy has been produced with an overarching vision of: ‘To provide a safe, secure and sustainable home where it is needed and thereby enabling people the opportunity to live well’.
A public consultation is now open for residents to share their views on key issues such as, future housing growth, ways in which the council can prevent homelessness and rough sleeping, improving housing options for all, creating vibrant communities in which residents wish to live in and safety and sustainability across all neighbourhoods.
Cllr Robert Lawton, portfolio holder for Homes said, “I would encourage local people to have a say on how we best provide safe, secure and sustainable homes as this is about their communities and how we ensure our plans benefit and improve quality of life for all. The strategy supports the council’s priorities to provide vibrant communities with a firm commitment for sustainability, investment and wellbeing for our local people. All feedback from the consultation will be essential in helping to shape the final strategy.”
The consultation runs until 21 May. Visit: https://haveyoursay.bcpcouncil.gov.uk/bcphomesconsultation
A final strategy will be recommended for approval at the Council’s Cabinet meeting in June.
