The Thomson Airways 10 Year Birthday Charity Ball – attended by pilots, cabin crew and medics – has raised over £13,000 for Bournemouth Hospital Charity.
The money will go towards medical equipment for the Royal Bournemouth Hospital’s new Jigsaw Building, which is currently under construction at the hospital and will bring together cancer and blood disorders, women’s health, and breast care.
Lots of Thomson and hospital staff really got behind the event and tickets sold very quickly. 180 guests enjoyed a three course meal at Compton Acres before bidding on a wide range of auction items, including AFC Bournemouth and Southampton FC season tickets.
“Thomson staff have supported Bournemouth Hospital Charity for a long time and feel very passionate about a charity which has benefited so many of our family and friends,” said Caroline Cook, who is part of Thomson’s cabin crew.
£300 was also raised on the night for Make a Wish Foundation.
