Register now for the South West Coast Path Challenge. The great stomp for charity takes place in October and will raise funds to help protect this National Trail. It costs at least £1,000 to maintain just one mile of coast path and an additional £2,000 for the National Trust to take care of the countryside that surrounds it.
It is hoped more people will take part this year to help beat the record set for the number of miles walked in one month and to help raise vital funds.
Dorset County Council is delighted that again it is to host the start point for an organised 10 mile challenge near Swanage. Walkers begin at Durlston Country Park and will have tremendous views of Swanage Bay and Old Harry Rocks thus seeing the very destinations they will take in on their journey to Studland. Furthermore, this will be the final one of four public events to take place and will be on Saturday 29 October.
