Scientists have revealed that chickens in Nebraska are pumped with so much corn they no longer have any meat content.
This startling fact has turned science on its head as it appears to confirm the saying ‘you are what you eat.’
The sweet tasting pop chicks could soon be available in Britain as a meat free option when dining out.
mags4dorset tracked down Nebraskan Professor C Lucker from the food research laboratory who is visiting relatives in Three Legged Cross and leaked the story. He said, “These plump, yellow birds are sweet to the taste and can be served either as a main course, or dessert. They are a perfect vegetarian option.”
But this new type of meat free meat won’t please everyone.
A Wimborne vegetarian, who wishes to remain anonymous said, “The fact that pop chicks don’t contain meat isn’t the issue here. My reason for being vegetarian is because I don’t like the way chickens are intensively farmed. Birds being pumped with corn until they turn into corn is cruel. I for one, won’t be ordering pop chicks.”
