Detectives in Poole investigating a robbery of a teenager in the Wallisdown area have released a CCTV image of someone they would like to talk to.
The incident happened at approximately 8.10pm on Wednesday 25 June in the alleyway joining Fern Barrow and McWilliam Close.
A 16-year-old boy from Poole alighted from a yellow bus at Bournemouth University and walked through the alleyway in the direction of McWilliam Close. After walking for one or two minutes he was grabbed from behind by an unknown man who put him in a headlock. The offender made the teenager hand over his watch and mobile phone before running off in an unknown direction.
The victim was not injured in the attack.
Detective Constable Ian Allen, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said: “Following enquiries I now able to release a CCTV image of a man we wish to speak with. It is possible that he has information that can assist with the investigation.
“I urge the man pictured – or anyone who recognises him – to contact the police as soon as possible.
“All calls are treated with the strictest confidence.”
