Wareham Bears to receive visitors at Wimborne Model Town
At 10am on Monday 17 May, the opening of the Wareham Bears exhibition will be opened with a cry from two town criers.
The Wareham Bears are very excited.
Their new homes at Wimborne Model Town will be officially opened with a cry from both the Wimborne and Wareham town criers at 10am on 17 May.
In addition, family members of the collection’s creator Mary Hildesley will attend along with representatives of the Wareham & District Development Trust.
Model Town spokesman, Greg Hoar said: “This special event not only marks the hard work our trustees and volunteers have undertaken to provide a new home for the bears, it also heralds the opening of all our indoor attractions including the new Life Before Lego exhibition and the model railway,”
The Model Town currently operates a one way socially distanced route with no advanced booking required.
The Wareham Bears were previously located at the Blue Pool.
