The Internationally acclaimed Welsh Male Voice Choir from Kenfig Hill in South Wales are to sing in Wimborne Minster on Saturday 11 April.
Choral singing in Kenfig Hill can be traced as far back as 1890 although the present choir was formed in 1971. The 70 strong choir has sung extensively overseas visiting Norway, Canada, France, Eire, Germany and Poland. In the United Kingdom they have sung in the Royal Albert Hall, the Millennium Stadium and York Minster and in the Jersey Opera House.
This will be the choir’s first visit to Wimborne Minster.
The Concert starts at 7pm and tickets which will be available on the door cost £10. They are available beforehand from the Minster’s Parish Office in Church House, High Street, Wimborne Telephone 01202 884753. All proceeds from the evening are for Minster funds.
