10-year-old Poole boy to donate hair to charity
Vinny Turner will donate 18 inches of hair to raise funds for The Little Princess Trust.

A boy from Oakdale, Poole is about to change his appearance drastically by donating his long locks to charity.
10-year-old Vinny Turner has only ever had the occasional trim and so his hair has grown over 18 inches long, reaching his lower back.
Vinny has decided now that it is time to get his hair cut short and at the same time do something for a good cause.
He will donate his hair to The Little Princess Trust, a charity that makes real hair wigs for children who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment or another condition. Vinny is also raising money for the charity, and has so far raised a massive £1,702, well over his target of £700.
Mum Cattrina Turner said: “He has an idea of how hard life can be for these poorly children, as he also has a brother with complex special needs, developmental, physical and medical in nature, often requiring treatments and interventions in Southampton and now London hospitals.
“Vinny sees first hand how tough life can be for these poorly children who need extra help and support.”
Vinny’s appointment is booked for this Saturday. Cattrina confirmed there would be no cheating with a shoulder-length hair cut, Vinny is getting the full chop and will have short hair for the first time in his young life. Good luck, Vinny!
