A three-course dinner with a Champagne and gin reception and wines on the tables at the Mayor of Poole’s Maritime Ball in aid of local charities will command an individual ticket price of £80, with corporate business tables of 10 costing £1,000.
According to the Mayor of Poole, Cllr Xena Dion, the Maritime Ball is “set to be the one to be seen at and is attracting a huge amount of attention.” With tickets starting at £80 for an individual and £1,000 for a corporate business table of 10, the prestigious black tie event will treat guests to a Champagne and gin reception, catering by Beales Gourmet and live music from Soul Machine.
It was recently announced that platinum sponsorship of the ball will be provided by the Dolphin Shopping Centre, and this will go towards the cost of the event, which is set to host 400 people on Saturday 13 May at Lighthouse Poole.
Heralding the start of the Poole Maritime Festival, the aim of the ball is to raise funds for three local charities – Lewis-Manning Hospice, Chestnut Nursery and Waggy Tails Rescue. The Dolphin Shopping Centre has also selected Lewis-Manning Hospice and Chestnut Nursery as its nominated charities to support in 2017.
Cllr Xena Dion, Mayor of Poole commented: “I was truly thrilled to hear that Dolphin Shopping Centre has come forward as the title sponsor for the Poole Maritime Ball.
“Sponsors will be seen as true community players and we know that the Dolphin Shopping Centre continues to make a considerable contribution to local charities. The centre is going from strength to strength and has attracted some significant names in retail recently which will get more people into Poole.”
John Grinnell, centre manager of the Dolphin Shopping Centre, said: “We’re delighted to be the platinum sponsor of this year’s Maritime Ball. Year after year the event raises huge amounts of money for local charities which provide a great service to people in this area and we hope that our sponsorship is our way of saying thank you for the excellent services they provide.”
