16-year-old on murder charge following death of Bournemouth man
A teenager has appeared at Crown Court in connection with the ongoing investigation into the death of James Cutting in Bournemouth.
Local man Mr Cutting, 31, sadly died after being found with stab wounds in Boscombe Chine Gardens on the evening of 30 June 2020.
A teenager from London, who has now been confirmed as 16 years old and cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with murder as well as attempted murder in relation to another man who was found with injuries to his neck and face on the evening of 30 June 2020.
He appeared at Winchester Crown Court on 9 July for a preliminary hearing. He did not enter a plea and will next appear at the same court on 20 August 2020.
The investigation led by detectives from the Major Crime Investigation Team is continuing and a 31-year-old Bournemouth woman has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. A 49-year-old man from Bournemouth previously arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs has also been re-arrested and further questioned by detectives. Both have now been released under investigation.
