Bournemouth March-er for Men wins top prize
A Bournemouth man, who has raised over £4,100 for Bournemouth Hospital Charity’s March for Men as a way of saying thank you for the treatment he received, has won a top fundraiser prize.

Cllr Trish Jamieson has been sworn in as the Mayor of Christchurch. She was first elected as a Conservative councillor for the West Highcliffe ward in 2003 and has served in that ward since then.
Cllr Mrs Sandra Grove the outgoing mayor of Verwood and her consort Clive Grove were guests of the Verwood Probus Club at a black tie dinner dance celebrating 25 years since the club was formed in 1991.
Despite strong competition, the winner of this year’s Christchurch Food Festival Cookery Challenge, sponsored by Christchurch Rotary Club, was a student from Highcliffe School, Bailey Jones. Runners up were Amy Evans from Twynham School and Daniel Hearn from the Grange School.
A spectacular summer event is coming to Bournemouth’s seafront in July.
“It is an honour to be appointed chairman of this prestigious council. I look forward to attending as many civic and ceremonial functions to enhance the council’s profile and promote its initiatives and business opportunities,” said Cllr David Shortell following his election as the new chairman for East Dorset District Council.
