The 2017 Great Dorset Steam Fair charity trailer rides support Julia's House
From 24 - 28 August 2017, visitors to the steam fair at Tarrant Hinton will be able to hitch a ride for a small fee to benefit the Julia’s House children’s hospice in Poole.
Once again the Great Dorset Steam Fair is offering its visitors the unique opportunity to experience up close, the might and power of the heavy haulage steam traction engines.
You can sit back and enjoy a steam-powered trailer ride around the show’s magnificent heavy haulage arena, surround yourself in steam, and be part of the living museum, all for the modest fee of £2 per adult £1 per child.
Martin Oliver, managing director of the Great Dorset Steam Fair, and all of his team are proud to support Julia’s House and the inspiring work they do for families facing a desperate reality. He says, “Help us, help others and jump on a steam trailer ride!”
Rides will commence at 10am and continue until 6pm daily, weather permitting.
The Great Dorset Steam Fair offers nostalgia and entertainment. It’s thought to be the world’s largest heritage and cultural event and showcases the industrial, agricultural and leisure history of Britain.
