Chief Constable James Vaughan of Dorset Police has announced that he plans to retire from policing in the autumn of 2021.

The surge in popularity of e-scooters has prompted a campaign to let riders know where they can legally ride privately owned ones.

Police forces across the country took part in a crackdown on county lines gangs last month.

The support scheme has been extended to the summer to help residents who are facing hardship due to the pandemic.

If it is a non-emergency Dorset Police are encouraging people to go online if possible, to ease pressure on 101 number.

The free online training courses – with a wide range of topics – are taking place from 7-18 June and early booking is advised.
