There will be free parking on specific dates across Dorset this festive season to support local events in the run up to Christmas.

As in 2020, Ferndown Community Support CIC will be spreading a little Christmas cheer in Ferndown again this year.

Ahead of the Jurassic X-Prix on 18-19 December, the St Helena, Extreme E’s floating centrepiece, has now arrived in the port of Poole.

Organised by Fordingbridge Events Group, the Christmas Glow promises to be a great event with a huge range of activities for all.

The 16 Days of Action Against Domestic Abuse which begins on 25 November with White Ribbon Day is backed by Dorset Council.

The Dorset History Centre in Dorchester has purchased items relating to the writer Thomas Hardy and Admiral Sir Thomas Masterman Hardy.

In addition to shopping, people will be able to attend a choice of five different road safety events at the centre on Saturday.

Voluntary jobs are available at both Broadstone and Wallisdown and you don’t need to have experience as training given.
