Dorset Council is advising schools to close on Friday 18 February and has suspended many services due to a powerful storm bearing down on the UK.

A law firm with premises in Bournemouth, Salisbury, Southampton, Winchester and London has opened a new office in Poole.

With very strong winds predicted to hit Dorset tomorrow and over the weekend, people are being urged to stay safe.
