“It shows the spirit of Ferndown!” said the town clerk at the annual Christmas event that had to be relocated from Pennys Walk to a nearby car park.

A huge crowd gathered in Wimborne Square on Saturday 29 November for the switching on of the town’s festive lights.

The campaign in which people are urged to report drink drivers runs from Monday 2 December until Wednesday 1 January.

Four people received awards in this year’s 2024 Air Ambulance Awards of Excellence which took place recently.

Bin collections will change over the festive period, with none on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day.

Foxstrut 2024 attracted nearly 200 strutters, including representatives of the Bobcats American Football Team, who took part in the parade.
