Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has celebrated its first major milestone at Bournemouth Airport with its 50,000th passenger travelling through the airport today (19 August 2015) on a flight to Paris Charles de Gaulle. A surprised Martina Halagova received a special presentation from Flybe’s Regional General Manager UK (South) Paul Willoughby to mark the occasion.
Mr Willoughby commented: “We are really pleased to be celebrating our 50,000th passenger milestone at Bournemouth already. Flybe is committed to providing convenient and affordable travel, connecting people not only across the regions but also onwards to the rest of the world and we very much look forward to celebrating our next landmark.”
The airline officially opened its new base at Bournemouth Airport in May from where it operates two 78-seat Bombardier Q400 turboprop aircraft. Flybe has recently confirmed its 2015-16 winter schedule which features six routes to Amsterdam, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Dublin, Glasgow, Jersey and Manchester.
