To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s disability charity, is offering the chance to win a £5,500 diamond pendant, with an 18 carat white gold chain, thanks to a Bournemouth jewellers.

Franses Jewellers is pleased to back Diverse Abilities, the charity that supports over 600 children and adults with disabilities in Dorset, during its ‘Diamond Raffle’ initiative this year. The pear shaped diamond pendant was designed and created by James Franses, son of the current proprietor Jeff Franses.
Raffle tickets to win the diamond pendant are £2 per ticket or £10 for a book of five and every ticket purchased will support hundreds of children and adults living with a physical or learning disability in Dorset, and their families.
Jeff Franses said: “We are very proud to be supporting Diverse Abilities during the charity’s 60th anniversary year by donating the diamond pendant. The work they do is just fantastic and we hope that many people purchase tickets and help raise vital funds to support their work with children and adults. The 18ct Gold diamond pendant has the finest D colour, blue white pear shaped diamond in the centre.”
Helen Mortimer, fundraising manager at Diverse Abilities, said: “We are aiming to raise £15,000 through sales of the raffle ticket, so are asking the local community get on board during our special diamond anniversary year. It costs the charity £16,000 a day to run all its services and you can make a huge difference just by purchasing one or more raffle tickets. Not only are you supporting us but you will be in with a chance of winning a stunning necklace, so there is nothing to lose.”
