The Dorset-based Wessex Group raised £1,000 for charity by holding a Christmas Jumper Day.
Staff turned up in a variety of peculiar pullovers and donated money for the privilege of appearing in the garish garments.
A raffle at the firm’s HQ in Shaftesbury was particularly popular and staff raised almost £750 which was made up to £1,000 by the directors.
The event was held in conjunction with the national Text Santa Christmas Jumper Day and the charities that will benefit are Save the Children, Macmillan Cancer Support and Make-A-Wish.
Simon Morgan, director of the family business, said: “This is our most successful charity day and it shows what generous staff we have. We had some astonishing jumpers on display including one worn by our business development co-ordinator which had flashing lights that she couldn’t turn off!
“The money will be going to three great charities and it will be a tall order to raise more next year, but I’m sure the staff will rise to the challenge.”
The Text Santa Christmas Jumper Day has so far raised £8.5m nationally.
