A little magic at Witchampton open gardens
As well as the chance to visit 19 gardens, visitors were able to enjoy the fairy trail at Witchampton Church of England First School.
Visitors to Witchampton were not only able to enjoy the Open Gardens Weekend recently, they also had the chance to experience a little magic.
Children at Witchampton Church of England First School had created a fairy trail.
The weekend over the second May bank holiday saw 19 gardens — from grand, modest, formal, relaxed, riverside and hillside — opened to the public under the National Gardens Scheme.
A free shuttle bus transported the visitors around the village.
There were also performances by the Wimborne Brass Band, Morris Dancers and the Witchampton Ukulele Orchestra. Also, two local artists opened their studios as part of Dorset Art Weeks.
Jo Hancock, head teacher of Witchampton CofE First School which is part of Initio Learning Trust, said: “The fairy garden proved to be very popular with families.”
