A31 Ringwood: night road closures 7-10 May
National Highways has given notice of A31 overnight road closures at Ringwood from 7-9 May on the westbound carriageway and on 10 May eastbound.
Overnight road closures of the A31 at Ringwood will be in place from Tuesday 7 to Thursday 9 May on the westbound carriageway and on Friday 10 May on the eastbound carriageway between 9pm and 6am for the thinning out of the current planting that could obstruct signs as it matures. Minor changes are needed to the planting and will be carried out by National Highways to minimise the need for future routine maintenance.
Cristina Bucur, project manager said the vegetation management work follows a post opening review of the A31 Ringwood Improvements Scheme.
All the work will take place overnight between 9pm and 6am when there is less disruption to the travelling public. Hand tools will be used wherever possible and the use of power tools and plant will be kept to a minimum to avoid disturbance.
During the closures, road users will be diverted between the A338 Ashley Heath Roundabout and the M27 Junction at Cadnam via the A338, A3060, A35 and A337, or reverse.
If you have any questions, or would like to know more about the work, contact on 0300 123 5000, or email A31Ringwood@highwaysengland.co.uk.
