The members of Active Games For All (AGFA) in Verwood have now handed over the balance of their funds, £2,788.27, to pay for two additional seats alongside the Multi-Use Games Area, but facing Verwood Memorial Recreation Ground.
These funds will also contribute to two seats that will be installed in the children’s play area, due to be updated by Verwood Town Council in spring. Residual funds will go towards any additional seating that may be required.
It is AGFA’s hope that in time groups will meet at the fitness equipment, have a work-out together, then socialise. It is also hoped that youth organisations will use the MUGA for friendly basketball, netball and football matches – all the appropriate sports’ lines are there.
