Aggravated burglary in Bournemouth – appeal for information
Two people have been arrested and investigations continue after a reported aggravated burglary in Bournemouth.
Detectives investigating the burglary in Bournemouth are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.
Two men were reported to have gained entry to a property in Seafield Road at around 12.15am on Tuesday 30 November 2021. They threatened the occupant, a man in his 70s, with a crowbar before stealing around £100 in cash.
Detectives from Bournemouth CID launched an investigation and two local men aged 18 and 19 were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary following enquiries. They have been released on police bail as detectives continue their investigation.
Detective Inspector Darren Moores, of Bournemouth CID, said: “Officers have responded swiftly to this report and, following extensive enquiries, two arrests have been made.
“Our investigation is ongoing and I would urge anyone with information that might assist us to please come forward. I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area on the night of the incident, or who may have captured anything of relevance on either dashcam or home CCTV footage.
“There has been an increased police presence in the vicinity as officers carry out enquiries and local officers can be approached by members of the community with any information or concerns.”
