Air ambulances to take part in charity football match
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance will play against Thames Valley Air Ambulance on Saturday 15 June in Hamworthy.
Local people are invited to enjoy an afternoon of football when Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance take part in a charity match against their colleagues at Thames Valley Air Ambulance on Saturday 15 June.
The match will take place at the home of Dorset FA – The County Ground, Hamworthy, in Poole. Gates will open at midday, with a scheduled kick off at 1pm.
The Hamworthy Club will be open, offering a variety of refreshments and parking is available on site or via the nearby school.
All funds raised will be equally divided between the two charities.
Tickets will be available on the gate, with no advanced sales, and entry prices of just £3 for adults and £1 for children.
Alana Hardy, DSAA fundraising events officer said: “We are so excited to be taking part in this special event. Thames Valley Air Ambulance have a charity football team that travel all over the UK, playing in games such as this. However, it’s the first time we’ve stepped up to the plate and have risen to the challenge.
“The event is going to be a great day out for all the family and raising funds for two life-saving charities such as ours. We are really excited to be involved and want to thank Dorset FA once again for all their support. They’ve been brilliant in enabling this to happen, even buying our brand new kit, which we are excited to wear.”
