All Dorset Council libraries have now re-opened
You are now able to pop back in to browse the shelves and to use the computers, for which you need to book.
All 23 Dorset Council libraries opened today Wednesday 2 December.
The opening times can be found at www.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/libraries and customers are advised to check the times for their local library before setting off.
Although not back to their full pre-COVID opening hours, nine locations will also be open some afternoons.
These are: Wimborne, Ferndown, Weymouth, Gillingham, Blandford, Bridport, Sherborne, Dorchester and Wareham.
Customers will be able to browse books and use the library computers (bookable slots). The order and collect service will still be available as an alternative to visiting, and a programme of activities will continue to be offered online.
Cllr Jill Haynes, portfolio holder for Customer and Community Services, said, “I’d like to thank customers for their patience, and our employees for their creativity and passion which continues to make life a little more pleasurable for everyone during these difficult times.”
